This car is a true survivor in every respect. It started life as a Mono County, CA Sheriff Dept. patrol car before being used for driver’s education in California through the 2000s. It was abandoned in Yosemite National Park and sent to the scrap yard for recycling.
We Chase Classic Motors LLC rescued this car from the Copart salvage yard in Reno, Nevada in 2022 and nicknamed the car “Reno” in tribute. We then repaired it and quickly converted it into a generic police car for the 2022 filming of the Michigan independent movie “Dominus”. The livery is meant to resemble Washington DC Metropolitan Police where the movie was set, but can be quickly changed to different magnetic door shields.
This car runs and drives extremely well for its age and 200K miles of wear. It will happily serve your next film project too.
